Senior Citizens Housing Committee, Inc. plays an important behind-the-scene’s role for all of our communities. Our services touch the lives of hundreds of people who live in our affordable housing communities. We have dedicated employees who work closely with our residents as well as their families, to assist in securing the services necessary to maintain a high quality of life. Each community has a service coordinator who is trained to identify the needs of our tenants and to assist them in creating a plan for meeting those needs through a network of community services.

Public speakers and informative seminars held throughout the year and have included such topics as:
- Food and Nutrition
- Elderly drug coverage
- Safe Driving Course
- Tax help from AARP Volunteers
- Blood Pressure screening by the Red Cross
- Flu shots by VNS Nurses
- and Diabetes-Nutrition from A-Z.
Working with clubs from local schools and scouting organizations to bring entertainment and interaction between children and our seniors. Arranging for the weekly delivery of food items through Island Harvest.
Working closely with the tenant association, creating various activities to promote health and interaction, including, Line dancing, Bingo , Holiday & Birthday Parties, Walking Club, Book Review Club, Writers Club, Movies & Pizza and Exercise Class.
